大连港大连港中国第二大海港，最大的石油输出港。它是东北地区同华北、华东、华南等地区联系的水陆运输枢纽。地处辽东半岛南端，濒临黄海大连湾。大连湾三面陆地环绕，东南向黄海开口，有大三山岛和小三山岛作屏障，港阔水深，冬季不冻。大连港的经济腹地辽宁、吉林、黑龙江三省和内蒙古自治区东部，是中国重工业和石油工业的重要基地。大连港对外交通便利，陆上有沈（阳）大（连）铁路与东北铁路网相连，港内道路连接大连市道路网，并经过哈（尔滨）大(连)公路干线沟通东北全境。1897年沙皇俄国侵占大连，于1899年始建大连港。1905年日本占领大连港，1945年为苏军接管。中华人民共和国建立后，于1951年1月1日正式收回大连港。以后对港口进行了改造和扩建，建成10万吨级泊位的鲇鱼湾原油出口码头和大型客运站。大连港集装箱码头大连港现有装卸作业区为大港、寺儿沟、黑嘴子、香炉礁、甘井子、鲇鱼湾码头，泊位48个，码头线全长11千米。泊位按吨级分计有5万吨和10万吨原油泊位各1个，万吨至2.5万吨泊位21个，万吨级以下泊位25个。全港共有仓库面积28万平方米，堆场75万平方米，贮油罐62座（总容积60万立方米），散粮圆筒仓容积4万立方米。大连港装卸运输作业基本实现了机械化，拥有各种机械530台。港口货物的集疏运输，原油靠管道，其余主要靠铁路。全港现有各类港作船舶50艘。自外海进出大连港的航道有3条，即大三山水道、三山水道、小三山水道。外轮进出港走大三山水道。港区航道有：大港航道，长3.5千米，宽200米，水深10.0米；寺儿沟航道，分一号栈桥航道和二号栈桥航道，分别长1.2千米和0.96千米，宽均为120米，水深9.5米；甘井子航道，长5千米，宽120米，水深8.5米；香炉礁航道，长2.8千米，宽100米，水深7.5米；鲇鱼湾新港航道是天然航道，10万吨级油船可随时进出。大连港进出货物主要有石油、粮食、钢铁、杂货等。大连港已同世界上140多个国家和地区有贸易运输往来，外轮来港一年达1000多艘次，近1100多万吨。大连港有开往日本和香港的集装箱运输航线。国内客运航线有7条。
