紫胶紫胶lac紫胶虫吸取寄主树树液后分泌出的紫色天然树脂。又称虫胶、赤胶、紫草茸等。主要含有紫胶树脂、紫胶蜡和紫胶色素。紫胶树脂粘着力强，光泽好，对紫外线稳定，电绝缘性能良好，兼有热塑性和热固性，能溶于醇和碱，耐油、耐酸，对人无毒、无刺激，可用作清漆、抛光剂、胶粘剂、绝缘材料和模铸材料等，广泛用于国防、电气、涂料、橡胶、塑料、医药、制革、造纸、印刷、食品等工业部门。紫胶蜡又称虫胶蜡，是一种黄色硬质天然蜡，硬度大，光泽好，对溶剂保持力强，可作为巴西棕榈蜡的代用品，用于电器工业、抛光剂和鞋油等。紫胶色素是一种鲜红无毒粉末，可作为良好的食用红色素。从树上采集下的胶块除去树枝等杂质后称紫胶原胶。原胶粉碎、筛选后，在洗桶中加水搅拌和漂洗，后期再加入少量助洗剂。洗净后离心脱水用干燥机烘干成为半成品粒胶。粒胶可加工成各种产品。如片胶、紫胶色素、紫胶蜡。原胶含树脂70％～80％，蜡质5％～6％，色素1％～3％，水分1％～3％，其余为虫尸、木屑、泥沙等杂质。虫尸和树脂中都含有色素。紫胶树脂是羟基脂肪酸和羟基倍半萜烯酸构成的脂和聚脂混合物。紫胶树脂中能溶于乙醚的称软树脂，约占30％；不溶于乙醚的称硬树脂，约占70％。紫胶色素是蒽醌类化合物，紫胶蜡主要由C28到C34的偶数碳原子脂肪醇和脂肪酸组成，其含量相应为77.2％和21％，说明其中有不少游离醇存在，蜡中的少量碳氢化合物主要是C27和C29烷。
