热污染热污染thermalpollution人类活动影响和危害热环境的现象。由于人类生活与生产活动引起局部、区域或全球环境热平衡的破坏，其影响若超过人类或生物的适应能力，就会酿成直接或间接的危害。电站、特别是核电站向环境中排入大量废热，可使接纳废热的水体产生不良的生态学影响，温度的变化对于鱼类的生长和生理过程起着重要作用；一个地区如城市，由于大量废热排入大气，致使城市气温高于周围地区，形成所谓热岛现象，可造成局部地区的气候异常；人类活动影响和危害热环境的现象，还由于全球燃烧大量矿物燃料，排入大气的二氧化碳、氯、氮氧化物、氢氧基以及微粒，改变了太阳辐射和地球辐射的透过率，使地球表面平均温度增加，即温室效应，破坏了环境的热平衡，形成全球性的热污染。环境热污染对人类的危害大多是间接的。环境冷热变化首先冲击对温度敏感的生物，破坏原有的生态平衡，然后以食物短缺，疫病流行等形式波及人类。人们对自然气候还远未充分了解，控制与之有关的热污染问题尚处于探索阶段。
