布鲁氏菌病 由布鲁氏菌属(Brucella)细菌所致的人畜共患地方流行性传染病（见人畜共患疾病）。主要为害性成熟动物，以侵害生殖系统为特征,导致母畜不能受孕,公畜不能配种。家畜中以羊、牛、猪最常见，其他驯养动物如鹿、骆驼、犬等也有发生；多种野生动物也有感染。本病广泛分布世界各地。中国牧区羊、牛布鲁氏菌病较严重，南方的猪、边远地区的牦牛发病也很普遍。城市中奶牛和奶山羊布鲁氏菌病也有报道。 本属细菌包括6个种。其中马尔他布鲁氏菌(B.melitensis)由英国人 D.布鲁斯首先在地中海的马尔他岛发现,名,亦称山羊布鲁氏菌，主要感染绵羊和山羊；流产布鲁氏菌(B.abortus),亦称牛布鲁氏菌,主要感染牛;猪布鲁氏菌(B.suis),主要感染猪。以上3种在中国均有发现。此外，还有绵羊布鲁氏菌仅感染绵羊；犬布鲁氏菌感染犬；沙林鼠布鲁氏菌(B.neotomae)感染沙漠森林鼠。中国新疆已有绵羊布鲁氏菌感染公绵羊，上海和广西等地有犬布鲁氏菌感染狗的报道。感染途径主要通过消化道，其次是生殖道、呼吸道和眼结膜，在大感染量下也可由皮肤感染。病畜排菌现象可以延续较长时间，而生殖道内病菌则多数动物能很快消失。有时母畜的奶中也含有病菌，常呈间歇性或不固定性排菌。潜伏期长短不一，牛从接触布鲁氏菌到发生流产一般为6周到8个月不等。怀孕中期感染的潜伏期可能略短。受感家畜一般只流产1次。 母畜临诊表现流产、胎衣滞留、子宫炎、阴道炎和乳腺炎等。公畜表现为睾丸炎、副睾炎、阴囊肿大、关节炎和滑囊炎等。确诊应作血清学试验或细菌学检验，以凝集试验应用最广，补体结合试验是一种准确性较高的诊断方法。防治措施包括淘汰病畜、菌苗接种、在感染严重的畜群或地区实行分群隔离、培育健康后代、结合菌苗接种等。常用的菌苗有流产布鲁氏菌19号弱毒活菌苗和45/20佐剂死菌苗用于预防牛布鲁氏菌病;马尔他布鲁氏菌 Rev.1弱毒活菌苗用于预防羊布鲁氏菌病。中国已制成适用于猪、牛、羊的布鲁氏菌猪 2号菌苗和适用于牛、羊的布鲁氏菌羊5号菌苗，效果均好。 人对布鲁氏菌有易感性，以马尔他布鲁氏菌对人的为害最大,其次是猪布鲁氏菌。患者临床症状较严重,治疗困难。人与人之间的传播尚无确实证据。
