白马井伏波泉是海南岛著名的古遗址,主要景观有“白马涌泉”和伏波将军庙。相传东汉初年,马伏波将军南征时,领兵来此驻扎,天气炎热,兵马饥渴,马伏波将军的白马用蹄刨沙出清泉,后人将其构筑成井,取名“白马井”,并为纪念这位汉代英雄而造伏波庙,设伏波井。
