司马相如司马相如(前179~前118)中国西汉辞赋家。字长卿。蜀郡成都(今四川成都)人。景帝时任武骑常侍。景帝不好辞赋,他称病免官,来到梁国,与梁孝王的文学侍从枚乘、邹阳等同游,作《子虚赋》。汉武帝即位后见到《子虚赋》,深为赞赏,司马相如被召见又为武帝作《上林赋》武帝遂拜司马相如为中郎将。后奉命出使西南,对沟通汉与西南边疆地区民族之间的融合起了积极作用。四川邛崃司马相如琴台司马相如的文学成就主要是辞赋。《汉书·艺文志》著录“司马相如赋29篇”,今仅存《子虚赋》、《上林赋》、《大人赋》、《长门赋》、《美人赋》、《哀秦二世赋》6篇。其代表作《子虚赋》、《上林赋》,内容上前后相接,故司马迁的《史记》将它们视为一篇,称为《天子游猎赋》。作品的主旨在于歌颂大一统王朝的声威和气魄,同时对统治者的过分奢侈也作了委婉劝戒。在艺术表现方面,两赋结体宏大,描写场面雄伟壮观富有气魄。但不免过分夸奇炫博,内容比较空洞。司马相如的赋重铺排,重夸饰,极富于文采美和音乐美。他的文学创作活动,丰富了汉赋的题材和描写方法,使汉赋成为一代鸿文。明代张溥辑有《司马文园集》,收入《汉魏六朝百三家集》。
