白眉蝮蛇白眉蝮(短尾蝮) Gloydius blomhoffi siniticus[分布]河北、辽宁、上海、江苏、浙江、安徽、福建、台湾、江西、湖北、湖南、四川、贵州、陕西、甘肃。国外分布于朝鲜半岛。 全长雄性414+64 mm,雌性344+48 mm,背面浅褐色到红褐色,有两行深棕色圆斑,左右交错或并列,圆斑中央色浅,外侧常开放呈马啼形,有的标本还有一条红棕色脊线;眼后有一呈色眉纹,其上缘镶以黄白色边;尾后段黄白色,但尾尖常为黑色。吻棱明显;鼻间鳞外侧尖细笛向后弯;背鳞中段21行;腹鳞+尾下鳞167-196,平均180。有颊窝,有管牙。 北京、天津、[生物学]在长江中下游平原丘陵地区,春秋两季多集中在坟堆草丛冬眠场所附近活动;夏季秋初多分散活动于稻田、耕地、沟渠、路边、村舍、园林捕吃鼠类、蜥蜴、蛙、鱼、蛇等,白天晚上都见外出活动。在浙江每年11月到翌年3月初为冬眠期,在活动期的5及6月和10月分布有两次活动高峰。卵胎生,5月及9月曾见交配,8月到9月产仔2~20条,初生仔蛇全长140~170 mm。垂直分布从沿海低地到秦巴山区海拔1 100 m。
